Overview

Product Overview

The EN856 4SP four-spiral hydraulic hose is engineered for extremely high-pressure hydraulic systems. Four alternating layers of high-tensile steel wire spiral provide exceptional pressure capacity and impulse life. Designed for excavators, mining shovels, drilling rigs and other heavy-duty equipment where safety is critical.

Quanyi 4SP hoses undergo impulse testing up to 400,000 cycles, exceeding EN 856 requirements.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 4SP and 4SH?
4SP and 4SH are both four-spiral hoses but with different pressure-vs-size curves. 4SP has higher working pressure at smaller sizes (e.g. 45 MPa at 1/2"). 4SH has higher working pressure at larger sizes. Select by the pressure rating required at your specific inside diameter.
Is 4SP the same as SAE 100R12?
4SP and SAE 100R12 are dimensionally close and often used interchangeably, but they are not identical standards. For OEM qualification, specify the exact standard. Most global mining and construction OEMs accept either.
What is the impulse life of 4SP hose?
Our 4SP hoses are impulse tested to ≥ 400,000 cycles at 133%% of working pressure per EN 856. This significantly exceeds the standard requirement and reflects real-world cyclic loading in mining and excavator service.
Can you supply MSHA-approved flame-resistant 4SP?
Yes. We supply flame-resistant covers for underground mining applications. Provide your MSHA spec or refer to EN ISO 6805 for underground mining hose requirements.
What lengths are available?
4SP is typically supplied in custom lengths or as pre-crimped assemblies. Standard coil lengths are also available. Send your length and assembly BOM for a quotation.
