Overview

Product Overview

The EPDM Acid and Alkali Resistant Rubber Hose is designed specifically for conveying corrosive chemical media, industrial wastewater, and acidic/alkaline fluids. Engineered to excel in chemical processing, oil refining, paper manufacturing, and foundry applications, this hose offers exceptional resistance to chemical degradation, thermal stress, and environmental aging.

The core consists of a high-purity black EPDM rubber inner layer, capable of handling dilute acid and alkali solutions at concentrations below 40% (at temperatures up to 45°C), dilute sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid up to 90% concentration at ambient room temperature, and chemical liquids/gases with pH values between 4 and 10. Reinforcement is provided by high-tension textile rope plies or steel wire braiding, ensuring high structural integrity and flexibility under a constant working pressure of 20 Bar (290 PSI).

The heat-resistant blue EPDM outer rubber cover protects the hose body against severe outdoor exposure, ozone cracking (complying with ISO 7326:2006 IDT standards), and weather aging. With a strict 4:1 safety burst factor, this hose ensures continuous operation and maximum safety in industrial chemical environments.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What chemical media can be safely transferred using this EPDM hose?
It is suitable for dilute acid/alkali solutions (<40% conc., ≤45°C), room-temperature dilute H2SO4, HCl, and fluids with pH 4-10 (excluding nitric acid).
What working pressure does this chemical hose support?
The hose supports a maximum working pressure of 20 Bar (2.0 MPa / 290 PSI) with a safety factor of 4:1.
Is the EPDM outer cover resistant to sunlight and outdoor weather?
Yes, the outer blue EPDM rubber compound complies with ISO 7326:2006 standards for ozone and heat resistance.
Can nitric acid be transferred through this hose?
No, nitric acid is an oxidizing acid and is excluded; EPDM is recommended for non-oxidizing dilute acids and alkalis.
Can the hose dimensions and cover color be customized?
Yes, we offer customization for inner/outer diameters, lengths up to 120m, working pressure ratings, and cover colors.
