Is NBR fuel hose compatible with ethanol blends?
Standard NBR is compatible with up to E10 (10%% ethanol). For higher ethanol content (E85) or biodiesel blends above B20, specify a fluoropolymer (FKM) inner tube. Contact us with your fuel specification for compound selection.
What is the difference between SAE 30R6 and 30R7?
SAE 30R6 is a low-pressure fuel hose for carbureted engines. SAE 30R7 is a similar construction rated for slightly higher temperatures and is the more common modern spec. Both are nitrile-fuel resistant.
Can this hose handle diesel return lines?
Yes. NBR is fully compatible with diesel fuel. For modern high-pressure common-rail (HPCR) fuel systems, use hose specifically rated for fuel injection pressures - standard fuel hose is for low-pressure supply and return only.
What is the maximum temperature for NBR fuel hose?
Continuous service temperature is up to +120°C. For higher temperatures (e.g. engine compartment hot spots), consider FKM (Viton) hose rated to +200°C.
