The SAE 100R2 / EN853 2SN hydraulic hose features two high-tensile steel wire braids for higher pressure capacity than 1SN. It is the workhorse of high-pressure hydraulic systems on excavators, loaders, cranes and press machines. Manufactured to SAE J517 and EN 853 standards, every length is proof-tested at 2× working pressure.

When should I choose 2SN over 1SN?
Choose 2SN when system pressure exceeds the 1SN rating for the same size. 2SN also provides higher burst safety margin for applications with pressure spikes, such as excavator boom and arm circuits.
What is the burst pressure of 2SN hose?
Burst pressure is at least 3× the working pressure for every size. For example, 1/4" 2SN has a 41 MPa working pressure and a minimum 123 MPa burst pressure.
Can 2SN replace 1SN?
Yes - 2SN has equal or higher pressure rating at every size. The trade-off is a slightly larger bend radius. Many OEMs standardize on 2SN to reduce SKU count across multiple pressure circuits.
What fittings work with 2SN hose?
2SN pairs with standard SAE J516 or DIN EN ISO 12163 reusable and crimp fittings. Always crimp to the fitting manufacturer's recommended diameter for the exact hose part number.
